Cherington, in Gloucestershire, is four miles northeast of Tetbury. Our village centres on a small green at the convergence of three roads leading to Tetbury, Minchinhampton and Cirencester. It has a population of around 110, in the village itself and a number of outlying farms and houses. Cherington has a 12th century church, a village hall, a cricket field and allotments. We have a very active community for such a small place; our annual Flower Show is a flourishing event and we share a monthly magazine, The Villager, with the neighbouring parish of Avening. The Parish lies within Cotswold District Council (Tetbury Division) and Gloucestershire County Council.
The Parish Council meets seven times a year – the dates are available on the Events calendar page.
